G. Linn henniger, aia
Linn received his Professional Architectural Degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1991. He was president of both U.H. School of Architecture Chapter A.I.A and University of Hawaii School of Architecture Alumni Association. His ability to communicate and integrate design strategies and techniques with his Clients and the building trades is strengthened by 20 plus years of "hands-on" experience in the design and construction of commercial and residential projects. His experience is in both Residential and Commercial Design including: Preparation of Construction Documents, Specifications and Condition Accessment Reports for Building Rehabilitation Projects; Restaurant Design; Retail; Custom Homes; and Construction Administration Services.
Background
Raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Henniger started his career in construction when he was just 16 years old - working for a handyman repair company before graduating from high school. His continued interest in construction ultimately manifested in positions throughout the Islands, typically as lead carpenter and foreman for both residential and commercial projects.
As a young adult, perhaps the most memorable and rewarding career-building experience was that of having worked along side his father as they built their own family home. "This home taught me discipline, motivation, respect, know-how and admiration for the team work of both the design professional and the Trades. With paternal guidance, this home BUILT ME!"
His interest in building did not stop there! Linn continued to work in construction while attending the University of Hawaii School of Architecture, at Manoa, earning a Professional Degree in Architecture. Licensed as a professional Architect and General Building Contractor, it is clear he enjoys the art of building.
With nearly 40 years of experience in the Design and Construction industry, Linn believes this diversification of experience is the best background for achieving successful solutions. Whether a large commercial project or small residential addition, Henniger has created the ideal formula - combining experience and knowledge - a architectural firm with BOTH artistic and responsible vision!
